Description: Parents are needed to help brainstorm a list of and make contact with local schools and senior centers to contact to invited to the teaser performances at 10am or 1pm on Wednesday November 11. Letters will go out to Hoover MS and Cabin John MS the week of October 12. At least 2 parents will also be needed on the performance day to usher guests to their seats.
I will be happy to contact local senior communities. I will try to contact activity directors at the Hebrew Home, Ring House, Summerville and others . I am also available to work the teasers. Is there a particular performance we should be inviting them to or do we have space at both? Michele Levenson
At the moment we have space at both, as I am unsure if Hoover or Cabin John will want to bring students over since it is the scheduled 1/2 day for K-8 Parent Conferences. However, we might want to market the afternoon one for Seniors first (NEW TIME 12:30pm).
12:30 is what I'll recommend to the seniors then since that is where we might have the most empty seats. I e-mailed the Patricia Hagen, Director of Recreation Therapy and Activities at the Charles E. Smith Life Community which include the Ring House, Landow House, Wasserman and Smith-Kogod facilities in Rockville and she responded that she has forwarded our invitation to the teasers to the trip coordinator. I left a message for the drama director Ricky Porter at St. Andrews private school on Post Oak Road about our teasers. Jessica-- I said it would cost a dollar per person,is that right for a private school ( I know we are not charging the public schools)? That is also what I told the senior home director.

I contacted the Jewish Day School in Rockville, MD and they cannot attend the teasers on that date.--Michele
The Hebrew Home, Ring House, Revitz House, etc. cannot come that day they have an outing already to the FDR Memorial.--michele
I'm getting discouraged, any other ideas girls? Still waiting to hear back from St. Andrews Episcopal school. I'll contact Norwood tomorrow. Jessica- do we know whether the middle schools are coming or do you need me to send letters out? Also, will Churchill students be there. I'm having trouble rounding up other groups.
